E-Power Marketing Attends SMX Advanced 2012

E-Power Marketing is excited to put another year of SMX Advanced knowledge in the books! Two members of the team attended the conference in Seattle last week, June 5th through June 6th.

SMX Advanced is a search marketing conference designed to bring advanced learning to experienced internet marketers. The conference is filled with fast-paced presentations from well-versed industry experts, Q&A sessions with the audience and presenters, and networking opportunities with search marketers from around the globe.

The conference provides attendees with expert advice, tips and ideas on improving Search Engine Marketing efforts, including Search Engine Optimization, Paid Advertising, Mobile Marketing and Social Media Marketing!

Top highlights from the conference:

  • The Q&A session with Matt Cutts, head of Google's Web spam team. Cutts provided valuable insight on the Panda and Penguin updates, negative SEO, Google's use of bounce rate and several other interesting topics!
  • Pierre Far, Google Webmaster Trends Analyst, announced what mobile SEO practices Google prefers. Far announced that Google recommends a responsive design whenever possible, meaning your mobile and desktop Website should have the same URL and the same HTML.
  • Vice president of Bing's Search Program Management team, Derrick Connell gave attendees a demo of Bing's new features that were rolled out to all users a few days before the conference. Connell discussed the role that Social Media plays in Bing's new design, as well as how Social Signals may influence search rankings.

As Search Engine Marketing continues to grow, evolve, and change, the team at E-Power Marketing continues to do the same!
