From 100 million Pinterest users to new Facebook and Snapchat features, there were some big changes this week in Social Media! Get caught up in this week's Social Media version of E-Power's Online Marketing Roundup.

Pinterest Reaches 100 Million Users: Are you on Pinterest? If so, you helped the visual bookmarking site reach over 100 million users! In addition to attaining this milestone, Pinterest also stated the number of searches on the site has grown 81% in the last year. Read more about Pinterest's big news in their Blog post.

"Millions of people use Pinterest to plan their futures, from where to go on vacation to what to make for dinner tonight. In fact, about 70% of these 100 million monthly users don't just visit Pinterest—they wind up discovering something so interesting that they also save or click on it to learn more and take action."

Dislike Button Coming To Facebook: Earlier this week, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg confirmed that a dislike button is in the works for the Social network. The new feature was discussed at Facebook's latest Town Hall Q and A session. Zuckerberg said the purpose of the dislike button isn't to put down other peoples' posts, but rather a way to show sympathy when "liking" a post doesn't feel right. Read more about Facebook's upcoming feature.

"Not every moment is a good moment. If you share something that's sad, like a refugee crisis that touches you or a family member passes away, it may not be comfortable to like that post… I do think it's important to give people more options than liking it."

Snapchat Introduces New Features: It was a busy week for Snapchat, as a handful of new features were rolled out in the app's latest version. Updates include new selfie tools, in-app purchases and more, but the most significant change is the addition of Lenses. This feature allows users to add various special effects to selfies taken using the front-facing camera. Learn more about how you can use Snapchat's new features to transform yourself into a zombie, give yourself a rainbow tongue or heart eyes, age yourself and more!

"The biggest change to Snapchat is the addition of "Lenses," which allow you to add an array of special effects to photos taken with the front-facing camera. You can unlock the lenses by holding down on your face when the front-facing camera is open in the app."
